Opening Night
Friday, March 21st, 2025 6-9pm
Inspired by the infamous ballet and score by Igor Stravinsky, this unique group show aims to draw parallels between The Rite of Spring and the contemporary world’s juxtaposition of natural beauty, balance, and chaos. Stravinsky’s ballet famously explores the tension between the jubilant, primal force of spring’s arrival through energy and sacrifice, suggesting that ecstasy and destruction are inseparable. This duality—life’s vitality and its potential for turmoil—seems to resonate deeply in today’s world, where moments of progress, creativity, and joy often coexist with conflict and upheaval.
Change, birth, bloom, indulgence, temperance, patience, nature, balance, movement, rupture, loss, community, longing, sacrifice….
