Mind’s Eye Art Studio & Gallery in collaboration with Fancy Plants Café is pleased to present Small Wins, a Holiday Small Works Show featuring over 50 unique works of art. This holiday show offers a variety of affordably-priced 2-D artwork including paintings, photography, mixed-media pieces, collage with a wide variety of styles that can be easily transported without hassle. The work offered during this festive show are perfect additions to growing art collections as well as thoughtful and unique gifts for the holidays. 

All the artwork is available for immediate “off the wall” purchase and will be carefully wrapped in tissue and placed in a holiday gift bag of choice during the opening night reception, December 7th, 2024. 6-9pm

Application Requirements 

‘Tis the season for gift-giving! This small-works show encourages people to collect art and for art to be seen as special, handmade gifts – especially at this time of year. The wall display and environment will be set up for visitors to enjoy your submitted work, and choose their purchases straight off the wall.

Submissions should be no larger than 11x14” (framed) and able to be bought straight away. 

Opening night is December 7th 6-9pm. Show runs at Fancy Plants Café from December 7 - 31, 2024.

• Artists may submit up to 4 pieces of artwork. (Maybe more depending on size) 
• Email: mindseyechicago@gmail.com with Subject line: Small Works Submission. Attach numbered images to email with information: Title, medium, size, and price 
• Submissions due by Saturday, November 30st, 2024.
• Hanging fee due after acceptance and before/at drop-off.
• Drop-off of work at Fancy Plants Café on Monday & Tuesday, December 2nd and 3rd from 4:30 - 8pm.
• Pick up unsold work at Fancy Plants Café after January 2nd, 2025.

Hanging fee: $10 for up to 4 pieces (depending on size) Payment is non-refundable upon acceptance.

All work must be framed and suitable for hanging. Gallery wrapped canvases are permitted. Poorly presented or loose work will not be hung unless permitted by the curator. 

 Eligibility Criteria

All works should be under $100 and for sale. Artists keep 70% and gallery takes 30% commission on all sales, 

This call is open to artists in Chicago, both amateur and professional. All fine art media will be considered except video/film.
